HKR International Donates HK$10 Million to Support Wang Fuk Court Fire Victims
The recent fire at Wang Fuk Court, Tai Po, has profoundly affected the community, leaving many residents facing significant challenges. In response, HKR International (“HKRI”) has pledged a donation of HK$10 million to the HKSAR Government’s Support Fund for Wang Fuk Court. HKRI’s hotel, club and leisure properties brand, Auberge Hospitality, along with employees across Hong Kong, the Chinese Mainland, Thailand, and Japan, actively responded by donating an additional HK$500,000, all of which will be used to support affected families.
Beyond immediate relief, going forward, HKRI will also launch an ongoing support plan to meet the evolving needs of the community. While Auberge Hospitality has delivered essential supplies and bedding, DB Gallery on 2/F of Central Pier 3 is offered as a complimentary venue for Hong Kong Red Cross to organise blood drives. HKRI Care & Share volunteer team will also coordinate care visits for residents in transitional housing, collaborate with NGOs to provide continuous assistance.
HKRI extends its deepest condolences and support to all residents, families, and frontline personnel impacted by the tragedy, honouring the bravery of firefighters and medical teams who worked tirelessly during the crisis.
