HKRI Taikoo Hui’s Spring Festival Programme “DARE FOR MORE DARE TO LEAP”
HKRI Taikoo Hui has unveiled its flagship Spring Festival programme, “DARE FOR MORE DARE TO LEAP”, a celebration that integrated contemporary art with cultural tradition to capture the vitality of the Year of the Horse.
In collaboration with Zelam Lim Studio, the project blended Eastern aesthetics with global perspectives, offering a reinterpretation of cultural traditions through innovative design. Inspired by the Chinese zodiac Horse and the peach both as auspicious symbols, Mr. Lim created the striking “horse-shaped” installations that decorated throughout the mall, immersing visitors in an atmosphere of resilience, hope and joy.
At the LG1 Atrium, five peach shaped installations of varying sizes symbolise the arrival of “Fivefold Blessings”. Against this backdrop, the colourful horses leap among the peaches, embodying progress and upward momentum, while reflecting a vision of exploration and new horizons.
HKRI Taikoo Hui has also partnered with OUTPUT Studio to deliver interactive digital experiences, with animations that respond to visitor movements. In the South Garden, lantern installations highlight the craft of bamboo weaving, as an intangible cultural heritage, combined with auspicious motifs. Auspicious fruits, such as grapes, pomegranates, oranges and peonies are featured across lanterns, doorways and railings throughout the venue, symbolising prosperity, renewal and harmony.
