Discovery Bay unveiled three new pet-themed art walls on 20 June. In partnership with Art Dreamers, Discovery Bay engaged four local artists to revitalise three murals at DB North Plaza, drawing inspiration from Discovery Bay's leisurely and pet-friendly environment.

 

Each of the three art walls presents a distinctive character, with different artistic styles that vividly highlight the unique attributes of Discovery Bay’s pet‑friendly community:

 

• Welcome to DB – On the right side of the DB North Tower, the striking 7.5-metre mural features an adorable and playful cat waving warmly to passer-by, welcoming them to Discovery Bay with endearing charm

• The Happy Paw Bakery — Located at the entrance of DB North Office Tower Two, the mural showcases a Shiba Inu blissfully squinting its eyes, lying completely relaxed outside a cozy café and conveying the community’s leisurely lifestyle

• DB Daily — Located on the Ground floor of DB North Plaza, a vibrant mural depicts 50 dogs and 50 cats going about their daily routines like regular Discovery Bay residents across various local landmarks, artfully illustrating scenes of harmonious community living

 

Discovery Bay invited Gabriel and Sylvia, alongside 11 students from SKH Wei Lun Primary School in Discovery Bay, to complete the murals together, embodying a strong integration of art and community. 

 

From 20 June to 19 July, visitors can take part in an exciting social media giveaway campaign by following the @VisitDiscoveryBay Facebook or Instagram page, uploading a creative photo taken at their favourite DB Art Wall to your personal social media account during the promotional period, adding hashtags #DB100CatsAndDogs and #DBArtWalls and completing the steps as mentioned on game post. Participants will stand a chance to win DB Vouchers worth HK$300, and two single-trip ferry tickets!
