HKRI Taikoo Hui was recently invited as a corporate representative at the 2026 China Annual Trends Summit held at the Friendship Hall, Shanghai Exhibition Center on 10 July 2026. Ms. Connie Ting, General Manager of Leasing and Management of HKRI and Joint General Manager of HKRI Taikoo Hui, delivered a keynote speech, sharing the project’s success in creating diverse consumption scenarios and driving commercial innovation.

Under the theme “Fashion China, Glory of the East”, the summit brought together government and corporate representatives, as well as industry experts to discuss topics including fashion industry development, consumer innovation and urban regeneration. In her speech, Ms. Ting highlighted that, the key to integrating “culture, commerce, tourism, sports, and exhibitions” lies in placing human experience at the centre, making commerce more people-oriented and cities more liveable.

In recent years, HKRI Taikoo Hui has continued to deepen its integrated approach to “culture, commerce, tourism, sports and exhibitions”. By continuously optimising its commercial offering through strategic brand upgrades, the project has built a brand portfolio that blends international vision with distinctive local character. Leveraging art and culture as a medium, it enriches the city’s cultural experiences and fosters deeper synergy between brands, arts, culture and lifestyle, delivering a destination that offers a fresh perspective with every visit. In addition, the project has continued to enhance its public spaces and improve the surrounding environment, while strengthening its coordinated development with the West Nanjing Road commercial district and neighbouring areas, further stimulating local consumer vitality.

Looking ahead, HKRI Taikoo Hui will continue to pursue innovation-driven business development, and further explore new possibilities in the integrated development of “culture, commerce, tourism, sports, and exhibitions”. Through delivering richer brand offerings, more engaging spatial experiences and a more refined service ecosystem, the project aims to create diverse urban lifestyle experiences for consumers and contribute to Shanghai’s development as an international consumption hub.
