A Series of Three Symphonies of Italian Flavours in Discovery Bay

The Group’s two hospitality brands - Auberge Hospitality and The Sukhothai Hotels & Resorts - joined forces to bring the essence of Italy’s coastal lifestyle and fine gastronomy to Discovery Bay. In April, Mr. Andrea Cetani, Italian Chef of La Scala at The Sukhothai Bangkok, will visit Hong Kong to showcase his mastery of Italian cuisine. He will join hands with three of Discovery Bay’s acclaimed chefs in a series of three exclusive events in a weekend, presenting innovative Italian dining experiences that offered discerning guests a refreshing culinary journey.

This cross-regional collaboration, highlighting the shared maritime feature of Italy and Discovery Bay, commences at Lantau Yacht Club (LYC). Chef Andrea is partnering with LYC’s Head Chef Mr. Lo Chi Sing to deliver a “Flavours in the Sea Breeze - A Dual Symphony of Tastes” dinner at the clubhouse lawn. Against the backdrop of sea and sky, the two chefs combine Italian passion with local inspiration to create a distinctive coastal feast paired with Masi wines.

With “Cross Cultural Feast: A Journey of Italian & Cantonese Flavours”, a transcultural culinary journey begins when the refinement of Italian cuisine meets the richness of Cantonese culinary traditions. Together with Executive Chef Mr. Lam Yin Chak of Peony Chinese Restaurant, Chef Andrea curated a menu that blends creativity and traditions. From the meticulous selection of ingredients to the combination of flavours, each course exemplifies the chefs’ dedication to culinary artistry. The dinner is elevated by the distinguished wines of Michele Chiarlo, ensuring every sip resonated with the spirit of the dish.
 

As the grand finale of this collaboration, Chef Andrea will join Mr. Jonathan Lam, Executive Chef of Auberge Discovery Bay Hong Kong, to represent an exceptional “The Italian Flavour - Taste of Italy in Discovery Bay Sunday Brunch” that infuses authentic Italian flavours with creative craftmanship. Guests savour freshly made pasta, abundant seafood platters and classic Italian desserts, all beneath radiant sunshine and panoramic sea views - where fine cuisine, ocean breezes and leisurely moments intertwine into an unforgettable memory.
